four photos I posted were part of a final project I did while I was attending School Of The Visual Arts’ summer program. We had to choose our own themes and mine was a series of diptychs focusing on the difference between innocence and adulthood. The strong tug of war pulling teens from maturity and immaturity. It’s something I find people my age are constantly questioning themselves on. Whether or not we are still kids, because we are told what to do and how to behave to an extent, or are we adults? Since we are technically, by law, and we’re starting to make decisions on our own. The series depicted the theme by showing teens and their battle with alcohol, drugs, and sex appeal, showing two extremes and having no middle ground, which is, in my opinion, the way some people my age feel.
